World War Z Set Raided

So World War Z is a zombie movie coming out based on a zombie apocalypse book. Brad Pitt will be starring. And the other day SWAT team's descended on a storage warehouse for the movie, where apparently they were storing fully automatic rifles, loaded with live ammo.

From Newser:
Some real-life drama went down on the set of the Brad Pitt zombie epic World War Z yesterday. A SWAT team raided the Budapest warehouse where weapons for the film were being kept, seizing 85 of them. The problem is that the weapons—most of which were automatic assault rifles—were fully functional, even though the paperwork they arrived with claimed otherwise. TMZ notes that some were even loaded with live ammo.

"Guns like these are highly illegal to transport even if they were to be used as stage guns, which hopefully they weren't," officials from Hungary's Anti-Terrorism Unit tell Us. "The movie company's employees must have made a mistake bringing the guns in without the Anti-Terrorism Unit's permission," adds a source. As for Pitt, an insider says he's "furious" at the situation.

They don't fuck around in Hungary huh? I mean shit guys, we are shooting a zombie apocalypse movie here, of course we have fully automatic guns with real ammo. You ever tried to shoot a zombie with a rubber bullet? It won't get you very fucking far that's for sure.

But seriously, are these movie's producers retarded? I mean you can't just not tell a countries law enforcement that you have a bunch of fake guns and come to find out you have a warehouse full of real and loaded guns.

It's funny that someone says Brad Pitt is "furious" about the whole thing. Who cares. How about the movie studio losing thousands of dollars in props? Or the producers who have to scramble around and get some new ordinance? I think in the big scheme of things, Brad can deal with it and just be glad the SWAT team didn't shoot him on the way in.
