Making Hotels More Strange

So Homeland Security has begun runing advertisements on hotel televisions alerting people to watch out for suspicous behavior.

From Newser:
It may not be the first thing you want to hear upon checking into a hotel on vacation, but Homeland Security would like you to keep an eye out for terrorists, please. The agency has begun running 15-second spots on hotel TVs across the US asking guests to report any suspicious activity they see at airports or elsewhere on their travels, reports USA Today. It's like the modern duck-and-cover message: "Maybe you see something suspicious," says the ad. "Can you be sure? If you see something, say something to authorities."

Really? Alert the authorities anytime you see anything suspicious, in a hotel? You know how many fucking sketchballs are hanging around hotels these days? Next door is a temporary rub and tug operated by Thai mafiosos, and on the other side a dude is cheating on his wife with a hot chick, and a dude.

Fuck if people actually followed these ads and called the cops every time they say something weird at a hotel you'd have SWAT teams crawling all over that breakfast buffet. No thanks paranoid idiots.
