DALLAS -- The Los Angeles Angels have landed the two biggest prizes of the offseason.
First, Albert Pujols agreed to a 10-year deal for at least $250 million with the team, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney on Thursday.

Then the Angels agreed to terms with left-handed starter C.J. Wilson on a five-year, $77.5 million contract, his agent Bob Garber told ESPN.

Everyone is talking about how fucking pissed Cards fans must be today, and I agree. But you have to realize that if the Angels are really going to pay him this much cash, I mean who could turn it down? And with Wilson and Pujols they become instant contenders for next year. They will be beastly.

And also, this contract with Pujols is a textbook example of a shitty baseball deal. Pujols is sick, but he is getting old. He is 31, and he's been in the league 10 years already. So the ass-end of that contract, when Pujols is 38, 39, 40, could bite the Angels in the ass. We will see.
