This is How Albany Gets Down

This weekend the lovely city of Albany continued having their annual St. Patties Day Parade and Kegs 'N' Eggs was in full force. I went down and got shitfaced and peed on public property etc etc. But my only regret was that I was not up early enough to be arrested at 7:30am like the fine folks on Hudson Street. Everyone is all over these videos today so I'm sure you saw them, but if you weren't there, this is what you missed.

"You're out of your bird"

"This is what happens when you close the bars."

Only in Albany.

Keep in mind that Hudson Street got blocked off by cops at 7 am. All this shit is going on before 8 basically. Now over at Barstool they wonder whats going on with TV's getting throw off of balconies and shit? Well, if you have to ask, you haven't been cop-jumping, tv-throwing, Albany drunk. That's what I'm chalking this up to. There is a very violent, whiskey type drunk that can only be called Albany drunk. And you throw TV's, fuck up cars, do whatever you please. This ain't fucking Boston, it's Albany, they give at least ten times less of a fuck about everything.

And my new hero is bagpipe guy. People are fuckin shit up all around him, and he hops up on a car to play. Takes an egg and doesn't flinch. Dude. that could just have easily been a 40 of Budweiser to the dome. He don't give a fuck. Fearless bagpipes.

Drunk people get press at the Stool.

From the Times Union:Miller said those arrested were: Carl Petrucelli and Joseph Almazon, both 21, who were charged with first-degree riot, a felony, second-degree reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, all misdemeanors; Patrick Fries, 21, charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, a felony, second-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree riot, resisting arrest and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon; Samantha Cohen, 20, charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, obstruction, a misdemeanor, and resisting arrest; Andrew Sherman, 22, charged with unnecessary noise, a violation; and Sebastian Niec, 23, charged with disorderly conduct, also a violation.
