Vatican Under Fire: Choir Boys Rejoice?

So in case you have been living under a rock for the past decade, the Catholic church has been under fire for covering up instances of sex abuse by members of the clergy.

From Newser:
(Newser) – In the most substantial effort yet to hold the Vatican's feet to the fire for clergy sexual abuse, human rights lawyers will file a complaint today asking the International Criminal Court to investigate and prosecute Pope Benedict XVI and three top Vatican officials for crimes against humanity. According to the filing, prepared by the Center for Constitutional Rights and the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, the officials covered up the abuse of children. The Vatican, however, has said that the church is decentralized and that accusations of abuse are handled by bishops, reports the New York Times.

Yeah, I'm sure he hasn't fondled any kids

First of all, if these people think an International Court is going to put the pope on trial they are higher than Charlie Sheen. Second, you have to love the churches response. They don't deny that the pope did anything wrong, they just throw the bishops under the bus. Like the pope doesn't know when they relocate a priest accused of molesting 52 boys. I'm sure he doesn't even get that memo. Bullshit. The church is decentralized? Isn't the pope the head of the church? Seems pretty centralized to me.
