If You Havent Seen an NBA Game Yet...

Tonight is the night. The streaking Knicks are playing the Celtics tonight at 7pm EST on ESPN. The Knicks have won eight in a row. The Celtics are looking for their eleventh in a row. This is the chance for the Knicks to make a statement this year. Now, I'll say this right now, they will NOT win this game. Amare Stoudemire cannot carry you against the team with the best record in basketball. It won't happen. And the Knicks have no bench. Once Amare sits down for a rest, the Celtics are going to take over. But I do expect the Knicks to keep it interesting.

The problem is other matchups. Okay the Knicks lead the league in points per game with 108. But they also are 27th in the NBA at points allowed, coughing up 107 per game. But look, in this eight game spree, they beat Toronto twice. Garbage. They beat the Wizards, garbage. And Minnesota. Now you're playing the big boys. This isn't Toronto kids. We play for keeps.

Who is this goof matched up with?

I know everyone says Raymond Felton is playing great. And he is. he's averaging 18 points a game and 8 assists. Solid. But you're up against Rondo tonight, arguably the best point guard in the NBA, certainly the best young point guard out there. So I think this point guard match up is huge.Neither of the two turn the ball over, each has around 4 per game. I think another problem for the Knicks is Gallinari. He's pretty solid, but look the Celtics are big down low. And they hack. They'll hack Amare and they will hack Gallinari as well. KG, Shaq, Big Baby, Jermaine O'Neal. They play big every game. We will see. Another problem for the Knicks is the Celtics haven't played since Saturday. Maybe if the Knicks were catching them on a back-t-back they could pull it out. But these old dudes need rest, and they got it. Bye Bye New York.

Look Ma, no D
Oh and last time the Celtics played the Knicks, Rondo put up 24 assists. That's a Four Loko in dimes, kids.
