Alec Baldwin: NYC Mayor?

So now that the Weiner dude is obviously out of NYC's 2013 Mayoral Race, Alec Baldwin is tossinf his hat into the ring, maybe.

The "30 Rock" star is mulling a run for City Hall now that scandal-plagued Rep. Anthony Weiner appears to have put himself out of the 2013 race.

Baldwin is looking to possibly run now that the field has been shaken up, a friend of the actor told The Daily.

“Alec said, ‘Hey, maybe this changes the race. The dynamics have shifted,’ ” said Baldwin’s pal. “The Democrats need a high-profile candidate, and Alec can fill that bill.”

Baldwin, a Democrat originally from Massapequa, LI, has said 2012 will be his last year on “30 Rock."

Dude Alec Baldwin would be if nothing else, the funniest mayor New York has ever had. Maybe funniest mayor in the history of the world. Who wants to yuck it up with Tina Fay and Tracy Morgan when you can take your talents to New York for real? I'd vote for him.
