Delta Airlines Loves Money, Hates Troops

So troops returning from Afghanistan yesterday made a video describing how they were treated by Delta Airlines. Apparently in the contract Delta has with the US Military allows four bags per soldier but at the airport these guys got charged for the fourth bag.

WASHINGTON -- Delta Air Lines is facing intense criticism after charging 34 U.S. soldiers returning from Afghanistan $2,800 in baggage fees. 

The incident came to light on Tuesday after a couple of the new-media savvy soldiers recorded a video about their ordeal and posted it on YouTube.

O'Hair added that all the soldiers with a fourth bag had to pay $200 out-of-pocket. The total for the 34 soldiers was more than $2,800. O'Hair's fourth piece of luggage was his weapons case, carrying the tools he used, in his words, to "protect myself and Afghan citizens while I was deployed in the country."





This is how you keep companies honest in the age of youtube and social networks. Get fucked by a company? Make a movie. This shit makes me so heated.

Airlines already rape civilians with fees and bag charges and shit. But the troops? Come on, charging for the fourth bag which is part of your contract with the military? Delta Airlines, apology or no, you guys are scumbags. Good thing I fly Southwest. I hope no one flies Delta tomorrow, fuckers.
