Theo Epstein, the general manager of the Boston Red Sox for two championship teams in the last eight seasons, could be on his way to the Chicago Cubs in the next day or two if the Red Sox and Chicago can conclude negotiations, according to two sources.
"It's likely he's going to go but nothing has been finalized,'' a Red Sox official with direct knowledge of the negotiations told ESPNBoston.com's Gordon Edes.

Red Sox nation better be ready for a new era. No more Tito, no more Theo. A little house cleaning never hurt anyone. I say start with Big Papi and all the other douchebags and keep Pedroia and Ellisbury and just build from there. Fuck 'em. After the biggest collapse in September in baseball history, you gotta have the biggest house cleaning in MLB history. Cut 'em all and keep the few guys worth their weight in shit.
