ESPNBoston.com is reporting that, thank Jesus and Allah, the Red Sox are only picking up David Ortiz for one more year @ 12.5 million dollars.
All I have to say is, thank you Theo. We would have been absolutely fucked if we had that tub of lard for more than the next season. Bottom line, he's off the juice, his numbers are going to start slipping as his body declines. It happens. We had some great times Papi, but you gotta go sometime.
But I will call bullshit on Theo saying that Ortiz is "cool with it." He is probably fuming mad. Of course he wanted an extension, who wouldn't. Can't bullshit a bullshitter Theo, we know he's pissed, but who really gives a fuck?
