I'll admit I'm biased, I liked Tyga since the beginning, I think his flow is sick. That said, here's what I thought of the newest tape "Well Done."
nice chain |
B.M.F - The blowing money fast sample is getting serious usage, everyone is using it, Tyga included. He spits decent over this track, but it's the first song, just a warm up.
Can't Be Friends - I like the beat to this song, and I think it's pretty damn good compared to most of Tyga's slow jam type songs. His flow is pretty sick over a legit beat.
Get Big - Decent beat, sick flow.
Like Me -Simple but sick beat, Tyga flowing with a more freestyle feel, longer than most of the other tracks.
Make it Rain Remix - Not bad, but I hate the samples, the original is so obnoxious I can't get over it, this is a skipper for sure.
Pretty Boy Swag - Again, I don't love the sample, but Tyga kills it.
Teach Me How to Freestyle - I'm usually skeptical that this tape freestyles are actually freestyles, this is a decent one if it is a real freestyle, if not, still decent.
Toot It and Boot It - Unlike some of the other samples, I love this one. Tyga kills it, one of the better songs on the tape.
Who Dat - Love this song, sample is tight, Tyga kills it also, no as hard as J Cole, but nice flow.
Wonder Woman ft. Chris Brown - I like this song, it's different for Tyga, slow and a different sound from him, surprised he could pull it off.
Hard in the Paint - He kills this beat, short and sweet.
Mirror Ft. Gudda Gudda - As you could guess, this song is pretty good until Gudda Gudda's verse. Why does Young Money keep that scrub around?
Maybe - One of the better songs, airy beat, sick flow, great song.
Well Done - The Title song I always feel should be sick, the beat is pretty tight. Besides DJ Drama being fucking annoying the whole time, the song is nice.
Overview:
Fans of Tyga will like this tape, it's old school Tyga, decent beats and grimey verses from the Compton rapper. He's still young and I think now that he's Young Money we'll see him take off.
If this is the first stuff you've heard from Tyga, I suggest you go back to the No Introduction mixtape series and start from the beginning.
