Weed Still Illegal...For Now

Well what could a been a huge milestone for California and the United States, Proposition 19, was rejected yesterday by a margin of 56% to 44%.

The initiative would have allowed Californians over 21 to possess up to an ounce of marijuana and grow up to 25 square foot plots privately.

There is hope however, 2012 will be a huge year as more states are putting weed propositions on the ballots, California included. So about a month before the world ends in 2012, hopefully we will see marijuana legalization in two years.

  1. People aren't responsible with any substance including weed. This should not, by any means, be legalized. The legalization of Marijuana would lead to a great increase in the amount of people doing worse drugs, such as heroine, as it is a gateway drug.
